Micro-learning Made Easy: The Story Behind Kunjani's WhatsApp Integration


The Challenge: Keeping Learners Energised Beyond the Classroom

After succeeding at engaging and capturing learners with high-impact live training sessions, we still struggled with one critical challenge: How do we keep them energised after they leave the classroom?


The Eye-Opening Project

We had a client who approached us for a six-month Supervisor course. We developed and trained 33 candidates through a mix of live training sessions, in-store tasks, virtual challenges, and interactive WhatsApp conversations and polls. Halfway through the program, we noticed amazing engagement on WhatsApp through live polling, conversation starters, and links to Google Forms.


Our Vision Becoming Clear

With Kunjani's vision being so clear in our minds—unlocking everyone’s potential by removing the barriers to learning with serious play—we have always wanted to integrate with other collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Teams (achieved), Slack, Telegram, Google Meet, WhatsApp, and more. Seeing the high level of learner engagement and the client’s desire for continuous interaction, we immediately jumped onto the WhatsApp integration.

With WhatsApp being a ubiquitous tool for communication, it became clear that integrating Kunjani with WhatsApp would bring learning directly into the daily flow of work. This integration allows for instant access to training content, real-time interactions, and a familiar interface that users love.

Our team worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth integration with WhatsApp. Now, learners can easily access it. It is so easy for users to start playing—simply scan a QR code or click a link to join a WhatsApp chat with Kunjani. Learners do not need to download any additional apps, making the onboarding process seamless and user-friendly.


Users can respond to Kunjani activities with a text message, voice note, or photograph. This is no ordinary multiple-choice quiz; this flexible approach engages different parts of the brain and caters to various types of learners, allowing them to interact according to their preferences and enhancing whole-brain learning.


Within seconds, AI will score and analyse the user's response, compare it to a suggested response, and provide useful feedback on strengths and areas for improvement. This instant, tailored feedback helps learners understand their performance and guides them on how to enhance their skills effectively.

Scores are tallied on a running leaderboard, creating friendly social learning competition. This feature encourages participants to stay engaged and motivated, fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment.

This integration has not only increased engagement but also significantly improved the retention of learning content.

Initially, the implementation was focused on continuous learning after live training, but we have realised there are many more ways to use this new integration: live workshops, pre-workshop training games to introduce content, and more.
